I will not rehash the storyline but the mixture of BDSM and "real" world story was great! It was a BDSM book but I did not feel that was all I was getting from this book. Maddison is a wonderfully head strong lady that is apprehensive at first in taking the assignment. Drake knows immediately that having her submissive to him is not only what he needs but it kind scares him a bit as well that not only putting her in a dangerous situation by trying to find a sadistic individual and pushing her limits emotionally and physically may be too much.

In the end (not telling who) The bad guy was really twisted and had a very unhealthy "obsession" with Their focal point. You very seldom see that kind of relationship and as the story progresses you get hints as to how it started....and just how twisted they really are.

The emotional break that Madison goes through is truly heart wrenching. With no one knowing how break it. The level of retreat was well written. Drake's emotional turmoil handling this as well was beautifully written.

This is one of those books that after you read it, it will stick with you for a while. My only complaint is that I can't seem to find a lot by this author and I really want more. Some of the secondary characters I think would make a great book!

Madison Garrett is an undercover reporter for a magazine. Her cousin
Rob wants her to go undercover into a bondage club in order to ferret
out a rogue Master who is harming female submissives. Agreeing to the
job, Madison is angered to find out that the magazine's vice president,
Drake Williams doesn't think that she has what it takes to convince
anyone that she is a sexual submissive. Madison pleads and promises
that she can be a sexual submissive and that all she needs is training.
Madison doesn't know what she is asking; it seems that Drake is a
sexual Dominant and wants to be the man to train her.

Drake Williams can't believe Madison is threatening to go into the
bondage club on her own. Exacting a promise from her, he vows to train
her to be a sex slave so that her cover isn't blown. Drake is counting
on the fact that his instincts are correct; Madison secretly wants to
be submissive to a Dominant and he is just the man for the job. Drake
engages Madison on a five day journey into sexual submission and
dominance. Just when Drake thinks he can break her and make her change
her mind, Madison throws him for a loop and his dreams of a perfect
submissive begin to take place in his mind.

Things come to a crashing halt when one of Drake's lessons goes awry.
While Drake is unable to stop her, Madison disregards his orders and
sets out on her own to find the rogue Master. What she finds will make
her world come to a crashing halt.

After reading No One But Madison by Doreen Orsini, I found myself
sitting in silence and just thinking. Thinking about the
Dominant/submissive scenes in the book and the fact that they were so
intense and real to me. No One But Madison took my breath away and
consumed me at the same time. In-your-face intense with the right
amount of tenderness, this book set me aflame. Drake was a harsh
Master, but at the same time, never would he have harmed Madison.
Madison was a bit harder to love. Sheer stubbornness coated her
personality until at the very moment that she gave control over to her
lover. When that happened, it was a beautiful sight to behold.

No One But Madison by Doreen Orsini explored the BDSM scene with a
no-holds-barred and unashamed look at the dangers from such a
lifestyle, as well as the love that can grow between two people who
trust each other. No One But Madison delivers a powerful emotional
charge that I am still feeling hours after finishing it. No One But
Madison made me hold my breath, wince, and even get teary eyed. I
would not have missed it for the world!

STORY BRIEF
Madison grew up with three tough older brothers. She is a tough woman able to defend herself against anyone, so far. She's an investigative reporter, recently undercover as a homeless person. Someone has been torturing women leaving scars, facial beatings, cigarette burns, and bloody whippings. None of the women will admit any details because they don't want to admit they attended a BDSM club as a submissive. Madison's Aunt Louisa owns the club. Madison plans to go undercover as a submissive so she can catch the torturer. Her aunt arranges for Master D to train her so she can be effective and believable when going to the club. Most of the book consists of the bondage, pain and sex scenes in which Master D is training Madison.

REVIEWER'S OPINION WITH A MINOR SPOILER
This was unpleasant. Two day after reading it, my primary feelings were discomfort and negativity thinking about the pain and torture. The story was lacking. I was not engaged. I wanted the plot to move faster. Most of the book was about the training scenes, and I was bored. My main curiosity was to find out who was torturing women, how they would be caught, and Madison's role in that. But I had to wait for that part of the story which was at the end, and it wasn't as interesting as I'd hoped. One of my questions was where were the police? Several women had been brutalized. The police should have sent their own undercover people in, not a magazine sending in a reporter. There was a connection with Rob that was not explained. I wanted a lot more information about his activities before as well as after the torturer was discovered. How the bad guy repeatedly got his victims out of the club should have been shown. It was briefly told - not enough details. There was a relationship developing between Master D and Madison, but I felt no emotional connection. It was sex in uncomfortable scenes, nothing else. The emotions I felt most were unsettling. The sex scenes included bondage, pain, rear door activity, sex in public, sex with two or more men, and torture.

As in most romance stories, the couple has a fight and separates after they've fallen in love. In this story the same happens, but I didn't like the method used. Madison got mad at Master D for irrational reasons, which annoyed me.

The way he teaches her to trust him is mesmerizing! I also enjoyed the suspense of the abusing Dom. It added another layer to this book that I don't always get in the BDSM genre...well done Doreen Orsini. I can't wait to buy more of your books.
